How's the band? - RF Cafe Forums

RF Cafe Forums closed its virtual doors in late 2012 mainly due to other social media platforms dominating public commenting venues. RF Cafe Forums began sometime around August of 2003 and was quite well-attended for many years. By 2012, Facebook and Twitter were overwhelmingly dominating online personal interaction, and RF Cafe Forums activity dropped off precipitously. Regardless, there are still lots of great posts in the archive that ware worth looking at. Below are the old forum threads, including responses to the original posts. Bottom of the sunspot cycle, so working people do not really have a chance on 10m.

Hopefully soon the power company will fix the line noise and I will be able to get on. I am now working for myself out of my home lab so I could get on 10m at lunch hours etc.

I have gotten hooked on 30m and 40 QRP lately.

Yeah, this sun-spot shortage is a real bummer.

However, a recent allband cw contest brought some weak and wobbly US signals across the pond to Europe in December.

Time to start building the next VLA (Very Large Antenna) ready for the SpE season on 10
