How do you extend/get cell coverage inside a tunnel?
I am doing a project at the moment and need as much
info as possible? What equipment to use etc?

Koos you will need a cell-phone booster, like
you might use to illuminate an office area that
is below ground for instance. You need a solar panel
and battery pack to supply it. Then on the antenna
side you need an elevated position and a small yagi
beamed on the nearest cell phone base to get the
down-load link sorted. Finally, on the up-link side
into the tunnel you need leaky coaxial feeder from
Andrew Corp. That should do it.

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling
2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed
formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit
design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at
the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps
while tying up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got
Mail" when a new message arrived...
