Greetings All! New around here! I have a
outdoor 2x2 MIMO WiFi radio which has dual linear
x-polarization antenna ports and need to design
a 90* sector antenna in 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz for solid
wide angle coverage for outdoor to indoor coverage
in Non-LoS mode to achieve max wall penetration.
The TX output power of this radio is 22dBm.
My question is: What should be the optimum design
for this Antenna which can generate max solid angle
horizontal and vertical solid angle coverage. Should
the 3db dual linear H/V pattern be about 90*/25*?
My object is to cover maximum floors and provide
good wall penetration with least amount of APs generating
max array and diversity gain? PLEASE HELP!
God bless!

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling
2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed
formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit
design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at
the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps
while tying up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got
Mail" when a new message arrived...
