RF Cafe Forums closed its virtual doors in 2010 mainly due to other social media platforms dominating public commenting venues. RF Cafe Forums began sometime around August of 2003 and was quite well-attended for many years. Post subject: On Board antenna design for 2.4 GHz wireless board

Hi all..

I am trying to design a RF anttena on the PCB itself for a 2.4Ghz

application. It is a 50 Ohm with impedance matching network an d has to be 400ohm in case like to remove all impedance matching componets.

Any suggestions or design ideas will be of great help.

Yeah, its quite simple... if you have Ansoft Designer that is

they have built in functions that generate the dimentions of the patch antenna you need depending on the resonant Frequency you provide.

I tried it , and it works really nice .
