Hi Everyone, If I want to optimize an antenna
(at around 1GHz) for magnetic near-field coupling,
what options do I have? Off hand, I'm thinking that
something like a loop antenna would be a good start,
as the magnetic field dominates in the near-field.
Still, is there some way to minimize my far-field
radiation while getting good near-field coupling?
I'd appreciate any insights! Thanks!

Hi gt7235d, You could use a shielded loop.
This should effectively ensure that there is no
E-field and all you would be left with is the H-field
since the tangential component of E field on the
conductor being used as the shield should be 0.
