rubber duck antenna question from the new guy - RF Cafe Forums

RF Cafe Forums closed its virtual doors in late 2012 mainly due to other social media platforms dominating public commenting venues. RF Cafe Forums began sometime around August of 2003 and was quite well-attended for many years. By 2012, Facebook and Twitter were overwhelmingly dominating online personal interaction, and RF Cafe Forums activity dropped off precipitously. Regardless, there are still lots of great posts in the archive that ware worth looking at. Below are the old forum threads, including responses to the original posts. Hello everyone!

I am a new member to the forum, and hopefully you foks have some suggestions...

I need to reach a dozen or so companies that manufacture VHF rubber ducks (like you'd use on a handy-talkie). I am working/have worked with Linx Technologies, Centurion and Radiall-Larsen but need to reach others; problem is I don't know who is out there.

When I did a Google Search I kept getting bogged down with useless links, which is pretty frustrating...gee, you mean Barnes and Noble . com sells antennas??? Cool, I can have a mocha-latte and get the whips I need all in one place.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
