Mobile Jammer Circuit Diagram - RF Cafe Forums

RF Cafe Forums closed its virtual doors in late 2012 mainly due to other social media platforms dominating public commenting venues. RF Cafe Forums began sometime around August of 2003 and was quite well-attended for many years. By 2012, Facebook and Twitter were overwhelmingly dominating online personal interaction, and RF Cafe Forums activity dropped off precipitously. Regardless, there are still lots of great posts in the archive that ware worth looking at. Below are the old forum threads, including responses to the original posts. If you are insistent why not just add a noise diode to the GSM receive or transmit frequency oscillator with a HP PA following?

Not recommended, this is illegal in the US. Although it is legal in other countries.

If you are a software hacker you could just screw up the protocols for call handling.

FYI: Be aware that the US Government has a software backdoor into ALL cellphones, cable & DSL modems.

Hi,

I got this info from a software engineer when we were both contracting for Ericsson. He was tasked with working on and wiriting security software for both the mobiles and CATV modems in the 1999-2000 ish time frame.

One could say he just made it up. He was very disturbed and shaken by the breach of First Amendment and those implications when he confided in me. Like most people needed to talk to somebody about it. I have not breached any confidence by passing this along rather the opposite. We both feel this is very slippery ground.

As a correlator you may remember that when digital cellular came out, law enforcement was screaming that they could no longer listen on drug dealers etc. Notice that the scteaming stopped about 5 years ago, when the comm companies caved into the Justice Department demands. A hardware solution is very expensive in equipment while a software solution is cheap.

Another correlator, since 911 the whole privacy notion has been tossed out in the name of national security. Remember the terrorist in that north african country who got blown up by a hellfire missile (cheers) when he got lax and used his cellphone?

While not eyes on, 100% proof, I knew the engineer who spoke to me about this very well. He had and still has my complete confidence.

I hope this gives you enough info to judge for yourself. Like most I think the idea of not saying anything via email you wouldn't want to see on a billboard is a good idea. While we all probably opposed toterrorists this is a very slippery slope to a country that has always taken the First Amendment very seriously.

My view is that the government types believe it is OK to listen as long as they don't broadcast what they hear.

Cheers,

Gary

why not use a 555 chip to make white nosie then use a VCO to go between 950mhz-1ghz range and put a transmitter on it
