I was wondering if anyone has any information on
this question. I need the smallest connector
available for RF. It will be a board-to-board connection
and the specs are below: DC - 3 GHz positive
retention (SMA has a screw to retain the connection)
Any information will help.

Is this a case where the two PCBs mate to each other
through a connector rather than use a cable?
Do you want a screw connection, or a push-on?

Board to Board connector use Coaxial? I have no
seen that. Maybe some Board to Board series such
JAE's (A Japanese Co.) products will satisfy your
requirement.

once upon a time Sealectro made a slide-in slide
out-out miniature coaxial connector with berylium
copper finger-stock. Not sure if it went up to 3GHz,
but for sure up to 1Ghz min. Anyways, maybe H&S
regs killed it off due to hazardous material restrictions.

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling
2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed
formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit
design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at
the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps
while tying up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got
Mail" when a new message arrived...
