Skyworks Single Package Radio - RF Cafe Forums

RF Cafe Forums closed its virtual doors in late 2012 mainly due to other social media platforms dominating public commenting venues. RF Cafe Forums began sometime around August of 2003 and was quite well-attended for many years. By 2012, Facebook and Twitter were overwhelmingly dominating online personal interaction, and RF Cafe Forums activity dropped off precipitously. Regardless, there are still lots of great posts in the archive that ware worth looking at. Below are the old forum threads, including responses to the original posts. Post subject: Skyworks Single Package Radio

Unread postPosted: Wed Jan 05, 2005 1:59 pm

I remember seeing info in a magazine (and online) about Skyworks and somebody else making some sort of GSM radio in a single package (module). It had (I think) the PA, transceiver, antenna switch, SAW filters, etc., in a very small molded package.

Has anynone ever actually seen one of these things or know if they're being used anywhere? I don't see anything on their websites, but that doesn't mean they don't exist. Anyone know what products they're being used in?

Any way for a non-big-time company person (aka hobbyist) to get ahold of one?

Thanks. (I'm going to put this on another of these forums, so forgive the repetition).
