Wed Mar 23, 2005 4:54 pm Can the magnetic field of a magnetized
screwdriver hurt electronic components? I'm thinking it is not strong
enough. Top Guest Post subject: Unread
postPosted: Wed Mar 23, 2005 5:19 pm I doubt any harm can be
done by the magnetic field of a magnetized screwdriver to 99.9% of all
components. However, the other 0.1% include parts like RF isolators
and circulators that contain magnets, and if poorly shielded, could
be affected. The el cheapo circulators in W-CDMA phones are an example
of a component that could be harmed by a magnetic screwdriver.
