amir_h Post subject: output power loss due to VSWR Posted: Sun Jan
08, 2006 10:45 am hello, In my Tx chain i have at the end
a PA (power amplifier) with output VSWR of 2:1 then I have a losses
due to RF cables of 1dB, and at the end of the chain there is antenna
with VSWR of also 2:1 my question is if the output power of the amplifier
is 50dBm, what will be the output power from the antenna.(assume the
gain of the antenna is 1dB) caused by the impedance mismatch.
thanks, amir Top Guest Post subject:
Power and SWRPosted: Sun Jan 08, 2006 11:38 pm Quick answer:
It depends on the exact impedances and length of the transmission line.
The details matter. Good Luck
