Professional Experience
Nucomm(RF Extreme, Vitec Ltd.) 2007-2009
Responsible
for all phases of product realization including
design, design verification and manufacturing test,
and support of manufacturing line and after market
service. Extensive simulation of new designs and
for improving product yield. Developed a practical
implementation of a wide band bias tee for remote
RF transmit head applications, enabling a single
RF path for 2/7 GHz bands, reducing cost. RF/Analog
expertise complemented by ability to diagnose FW/SW
issues. Products include microwave video transmitters
and receivers operating up to 13 GHz for electronic
news gathering(ENG.)
Tyco Electronics/M/A-Com
2004-2007 Product Development Engineer - Board level
designs including synthesizers, VCOs, and a polar
transmitter IC evaluation platform. Designs were
debugged and tested in the lab. Contributed to a
system level proposal for a telemetry transmitter
for unmanned aircraft including the cascade analysis
in Spectrasys.
Andrew Corp. Power Amplifier
Group/Celiant Corp./Lucent Technologies NWG 1997-2004
Wireless RF/Analog Design Engineer – Responsible
for board level design and testing of an RF digital
predistortion (DPD) board for a UMTS WCMDA multicarrier
power amplifier, a DPD board for TDMA multicarrier
amplifier, a TDMA wide band radio transmitter and
an up/down converter for an in-building TDMA pico
cell. Aftermarket customer support and FMA of amplifier
products.
Lucent Access BU 1995-1997
Systems
Architect – Responsible for managing a physical
layer team in developing various architectures for
fiber-to-the-home/curb. Worked with research in
identifying break-through technologies offering
significant cost advantage.
AT&T Network
Wireless Group and Consumer Products 1990-1995
RF Board Designer – Design of a CDMA radio. Provided
factory support for a dual mode TDMA radio test
unit circuit pack. Receiver design for TDMA and
CDMA low cost handsets.
Bell Laboratories/AT&T
Microelectronics 1981-1990
Fiber Optic Component
Designer – Responsible for the design of fiber optic
transmitters and receivers for the long distance
network and LAN applications. Addressed all aspects
of the design for manufacture, testing and supporting
the factory. Power Amplifier Designer – Responsible
for the design of an 11 GHz power amplifier prototype
for terrestrial digital radio. Worked with device
researchers in evaluating state of the art power
GaAs FETs for use in the design.
