Radio Tech Positions @ United States Capitol Police - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

Below are the old forum threads, including responses to the original posts.

All it has come to my attention that there is a technical problem with the posting and/or the website (Avue Digital Services) that is hosting it. The word “No” does not display as an option as an answer to the questions, and if you select “None of the Above” it tells you that you are “not qualified”. In order to correct this problem the posting must be cancelled and re-posted, ***Everyone MUST Re-apply*** when the new posting is released. Everyone who applied will be contacted via email when the new posting goes up, which I hope it will be by the end of the week. I thank you all in advance for you patients and understanding while we get this corrected.

Good news..a work around has been implemented on the USCP Radio Tech job posting. The word "No" has reappeared, so you can now enter your application and the only valid answer to all the questions are "yes" or "No", if you select "None of the above" you will get bounced out. Now the bad news everyone must re-apply, it's painless because you only have to answer the questions, your profile is saved on Avue. Thanks everyone and please re-apply, this is a great opportunity for qualified techs.

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling 2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps while typing up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got Mail" when a new message arrived...
