I maintain a Motorola 800 Mhz Type II trunking system.
I am experiencing interference on the system. I
have a wav file I'd like to add to this post so
you can hear it. Is there a way to do that? I'm
new to this forum. TIA

Greetings TypeII: If you have the file located
on a website somewhere that is not behind a firewall,
you can just post the hyperlink. If the file is
not too large (say <100 kB), you can e-mail it
to me and I'll post it on RF Cafe and link to it
for you. The first option is preferred, of course,
because of bandwidth consumption.

Hi Kirt: Unfortunately the wav file is 174Kb.
The trouble I'm having is on a 12 channel
Quantar based Type II system. The interference pops
up now and again and is not specific to any one
channel. It affects all channels but not all of
them at the same time (just to be clear). I was
hoping to find someone who might have experienced
this. I could email it to anyone wanting to give
it a listen. Where does a guy start with this kind
of problem?

Greetings TypeII: Please go ahead and e-mail
it to me and I'll post it for you.

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling
2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed
formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit
design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at
the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps
while tying up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got
Mail" when a new message arrived...
