RF Cafe Forums closed its virtual doors in late 2012 mainly due to other social media platforms dominating public commenting venues. RF Cafe Forums began sometime around August of 2003 and was quite well-attended for many years. By 2012, Facebook and Twitter were overwhelmingly dominating online personal interaction, and RF Cafe Forums activity dropped off precipitously. Regardless, there are still lots of great posts in the archive that ware worth looking at. Below are the old forum threads, including responses to the original posts. hi mr webmaster of rf cafe--
i am new to ur bbs and really like it-- i do mostly broadcast OEM audio design, but i also do some modest RF work - mostly broadcast. i found this site looking on google for help with my eagleware issues-- i love the bbs! i thought i had regesterd properly but must have messed it up. may i join the bbs? i have 30 years experiance as a broadcast engineer-- not quite the level of some of the members, but i have experiance in high power HF.
my wife, kim, is a broadcast engineer in training -she is actively working toward her SBE certification-- her email is irishladie @ aol.com and she would also like to join the bbs.
thank you
bill sacks

Greetings Bill:

You of course are welcome to joining the RF Cafe forum. Based on your background, your inputs should be quite valuable.

Registration is encouraged, but not required. If you had difficulty with registration, it might have been due to not entering the visual confirmation code properly. It is case-sensitive, so please try again and observe upper and lower case characters per the displayed code.

I had to implement the visual confirmation just last week because malicious software robots crawl the Web looking for forums to join to stage attacks at a later time. I found three that had "joined" and deleted them, then implemented the visual confirmation. It is an unfortunate reality of online existence. Like I mentioned in my post, I wouldn't shed a tear over more of the :smt013 spammers getting knocked off like that one in Russia.

Thanks for writing.
