Environetix Technologies Corporation is a technology-transfer spin-off from the University of Maine (UMaine) Laboratory for Surface Science and Technology (LASST). A dynamic research and development organization, Environetix is making rapid and exciting progress in the field of passive, wireless sensor systems for harsh environments. For instance, Environetix’s sensors perform reliably up to 1000 degrees Celsius, groundbreaking innovation in the field of surface acoustic wave sensor technology. With federal contracts in hand, Environetix seeks to commercialize applications for its sensor systems and associated wireless communication technologies in both static and dynamic harsh environments. With facilities use agreements in place, Environetix performs its laboratory-based work at both UMaine and in its independent laboratory at the Target Technology Center in Orono (targetincubator.umaine.edu). Located less than an hour from Acadia National Park and other recreational areas, Orono offers a wonderful quality of life in a beautiful mid-Maine college town. 

We have current openings for both RF engineers and technicians who will participate in a team effort to develop and manufacture wireless microwave sensors for custom high- temperature harsh environment applications. Candidates must have a BS (or higher) degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, as well as experience with RF microwave and wireless tools and techniques. Apply today and come grow with our team!
