Construction Estimating Engineer - Emission Control Business Unit Are you looking for a chance to enhance your career and grow personally? GEA Process Engineering Inc., a full service company specializing in process systems and solutions, is seeking a Construction Estimating Engineer to join our growing Emission Control Business Unit. We were established in 1974 and promote an environment where all employees are valued and treated with respect. The new team member would be responsible for preparing construction cost estimates for our Emission Control (EC) systems. The estimates would include but not be limited to installation, rigging, welding, and assembly of EC process equipment, ductwork, structural steel, platforms, ladders, insulation, cladding, cabling, MCC’s, and I&C. The person would need to identify the labor, materials and time requirements, by traveling to the job site and by studying the customers’ RFQ’s, blueprints, specifications and related documents. The person would prepare documentation for soliciting bids from area construction subcontractors. In addition, the person will participate in the administration and management of on-going construction projects. When required, they would provide assistance with construction expertise for other GEA Process Engineering activities. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps while typing up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got Mail" when a new message arrived...
