TITLE: Spend the summer in Italy and St. Cruz! Looking for experienced

ABOUT US: We're a startup working on building high-quality waterproof audio systems for extreme
watersports (e.g. surfing, kayaking or sailing). Currently, we're just with 3 people - an award-winning industrial
designer and graduates from Harvard and uPenn. Our mission is to enable people to have next-level experiences on the
water through music (see video below). So far we've built and tested a series of prototypes and have build a large
You will be involved in all stages of engineering from R&D to DFM.
The role will combine research with hands-on prototype building and testing. All the necessary tools and equipment
will be at your disposal.
You should have at least a degree in electrical engineering, but ideally you'll also have significant experience
and passion working with wireless communication protocols (WiFi, RF, WiMax, LTE etc.) Being one of our earliest employees,
you should be goal-oriented and able to work independently.
POSITION: We'll first hire you for a research project for
April - May during which you'll create a list of technical
requirements, research the current technologies and build a simple prototype. During this phase you can work remotely.
If we agree to work further, in late June we'll go to Lake Garda in Italy for a (semi-) formal kick-off. There we'll
meet with a number of manufacturing partners, investors and business leaders. After the kick-off we'll relocate to
Santa Cruz, CA and start building the first commercial prototype. The environment of St. Cruz will be the ideal ground
for rapid testing of the product with real users.
