EE Times 2002 Salary SurveyAccording
to the "EE Times 2002 Salary Survey," you're making better money today
than you were a year ago. If you happen to still be employed, that is.
$89,100 is the average salary for an electrical engineer this year -
up from $82,900 last year. Less than a decade ago, in 1994, the figure
was $59,800. For some reason, stock options have lost their attractiveness
in the last year ;-). The average starting salary last year for new
grads with a BS degree was just over $50k. Average household income
for an EE with working spouse was $125,038. Man, I must be doing something
wrong!
