Microsoft Allows Overpaid Laid-Off Employees to Keep Overpayments

Microsoft has decided to allow its laid-off employees who received a few thousand dollars extra in their severance checks to keep the money... because it wanted to avoid being accused of being mean and uncaring. I think it is outrageous that Microsoft has allowed itself to be bullied into this action. When a bank makes an accounting error, the account holder is not allowed to keep the money. Aside from that, there should be no expectation on the part of the recipient to be able to keep the erroneous payment; he/she has no right to it. - Read the Story -
