Cleveland, Ohio - October 23, 2008 - Keithley Instruments, Inc. (NYSE:KEI), a leader in solutions for emerging measurement needs, announced today that its award-winning RF test solutions, including the Series 2800 RF Vector Signal Analyzers and Series 2900 RF Vector Generators, are established in production with Ubiquisys, Ltd., a leading developer of 3G femtocells.

Ubiquisys has been using Keithley's RF test solutions as it ramps its femtocell production at Sony UK Tech.

Keithley's next-generation RF test instruments are designed to meet the challenges that are associated with femtocell testing.

They are built on a next-generation instrument platform that uses state-of-the-art RF and high-speed DSP technology to reduce the cost of test and shorten time to market. Additionally, they provide the measurement accuracy needed to ensure high product quality and production yields and high test speed and low equipment cost needed to reduce the cost of test.

"Keithley's RF test solutions are able to achieve a very high throughput in production test applications, which have proven extremely important to Ubiquisys as they ramp their production," said Mark Hoersten, Vice President of Business Development for Keithley.  "The Series 2800 and 2900 feature a next-generation, DSP-based Software-Defined Radio architecture that enables them to make these extremely high speed measurements with the required high levels of accuracy."

"We are very impressed with the speed of measurement and test time offered by Keithley's RF solutions," added John Evans MBE, Vice President of Operations for Ubiquisys.  "Additionally, Keithley's support of our test development and understanding of our application was an equally critical factor in our original purchasing decision."

Keithley's Series 2800 RF Vector Signal Analyzers and Series 2900 RF Vector Generators are designed to meet the challenges faced by designers and manufacturers of today's wireless technologies and are suitable for emerging and future technologies. The Series 2800 and 2900 are part of Keithley's full range of RF test and measurements solutions that are capable of addressing the latest WLAN and WiMAX applications for both SISO and MIMO testing.

About Ubiquisys Ltd.
Ubiquisys was formed in 2004 to bring its ground-breaking ZoneGate femtocell technology to market. ZoneGate femtocells are manufactured with Sony UK Tech and are available as standalone units or as part of a residential gateway device such as Netgear's DVG834GH.

The system supports multiple interfaces to the operator's core network and is remotely managed and updated using standard TR-069 management systems such as Motive's Home Device Manager.

Ubiquisys' sole focus is femtocells, and in 2007 it created the Femto Forum to promote standards and partnerships in this fast-emerging industry. In May 2008, ABI Research named Ubiquisys as the world's leading femtocell vendor in their Femtocell Vendor Matrix. The company is funded by Accel Partners, Advent Venture Partners, Atlas Venture, Google and T-Mobile Venture Fund.
