Z-Comm Introduces the CRO2781A-LF Ultra Low Phase Noise VCO
April
6, 2009 -- Z-Communications, Inc. announces a new RoHS compliant VCO (Voltage-Controlled Oscillator)
model CRO2781A-LF in S-band. The CRO2781A-LF operates at 2780 MHz with a tuning voltage range of 0.5-4.5 Vdc. This
VCO features a typical phase noise of -115 dBc/Hz @ 10 KHz offset and a typical tuning sensitivity of 9 MHz/V.
The
CRO2781A-LF is designed to deliver a typical output power of 7.5 dBm at 5 Vdc supply while drawing 19 mA (typical)
over the temperature range of -40º to 85º C. This VCO features typical 2nd harmonic suppression of -18 dBc and
comes in Z-Comm’s industry standard MINI-16 package measuring 0.5 in. x 0.5 in. x 0.22 in. It is available in tape
and reel packaging for production requirements. The CRO2781A-LF is also ideal for automated surface mount assembly
and reflow.
CRO2781A-LF is well suited for microwave radio and satellite communication applications that require ultra
low phase noise performance. Additional specifications for this product can be found on-line at
