Telemakus, LLC Introduces a True RMS Power Sensor with USB Interface


RFMW - Telemakus True RMS Power Meter with USB InterfaceSan Jose, CA, July 29, 2009 -- RFMW announces Telemakus, LLC's introduction of a True RMS Power Sensor with USB interface. The detector operates from 50MHz to 6GHz with 50dB dynamic range. The RF connector is SMA male and the DC/control connector is USB type A allowing direct connection to a PC or via a USB extender cable. The device also has 0.5GB of flash memory containing all the installation files, data sheet and calibration data. The windows based user interface allows direct power measurement, averaging and relative power measurement. The unit can also be used with common ATE software. Using multiple sensors allows gain measurements at the same frequency or different frequencies for mixer measurements. Applications include remote RF power monitoring, field service fault detection and data logging.

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling 2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps while tying up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got Mail" when a new message arrived...
