M/A-COM Technology Solutions Introduces New
8-Way Splitter for CATV Applications

Lowell, MA, July 28, 2011 – M/A-COM Technology Solutions Inc. (M/A-COM Tech), a leading supplier of high performance analog semiconductor solutions, introduced today an innovative 8-way active splitter for CATV applications. The MAAM-010237 belongs to a larger family of Broadband Active Splitters and targets multi-tuner set-top boxes, home gateways and other broadband, internet-based Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) applications. Featuring a default-on loop-through path, the MAAM-010237 allows for access to the cable signal even when the CPE box is powered down.

The MAAM-010237 is a highly linear 8-way active splitter with low distortion and low noise figure. Designed for operation from 50 to 1100 GHz, the MAAM-010237 is packaged in a RoHS compliant leadless 4mm PQFN package. The 8-way Splitter is fabricated using M/A-COM Tech’s E/D pHEMT process which optimizes default loop-through operation, low noise and low distortion.
