Saelig Introduces New 4-Pin Mil-Spec High Reliability Crystal Oscillators

November 2, 2016 - Saelig Company, Inc. (www.saelig.com) announces theEQXO-2000BM Mil-Spec High Reliability Crystal Oscillators - new 4-pin models which add to the recently launched range of Euroquartz military specification crystal oscillators designed for use in applications that require high reliability. The EQXO-2000BM's industry-standard '8-pin DIP oscillator' dimensions feature four active pins and a ruggedized three-point crystal mounting system. The new EQXO-2000BM series clock oscillators complement the previous 14-pin DIP models - EQXO-1000BMK and EQXO-3000BMK - launched earlier this year, which also incorporate a custom-designed quartz crystal and a CMOS/TTL compatible hybrid circuit on a ceramic substrate. Manufactured using the latest production techniques, these oscillators feature tight frequency calibration tolerance and high stability over a wide temperature range.

The available frequency range is from 30 kHz to 70 MHz with a calibration tolerance of ±10 to ±25 ppm at 25°C and a frequency stability of ±100 or ±50ppm over the full military temperature range (-55 to +125°C). Additional specifications include aging of ±3ppm maximum in the first year, symmetry of 45%/55%, and standard 5.0VDC supply voltage (other voltages on request). Standard output is CMOS, 50 pF/10 TTL loads, with other outputs available to special order.

Ideal for upper atmosphere, aerospace, defense and other applications where high-reliability clock oscillators are required, the new EQXO-2000BMK crystal oscillators can be screened to MIL-O-55310C, class B if required. Radiation tolerant EQXO-2000BMH versions will withstand ionizing radiation to resist electrical failures for a total radiation dose of 40krad(SI).
