Rugged antenna covers multiple popular frequency bands in a single product San Diego, California, February 16, 2018 - Southwest Antennas, an industry leader in rugged RF / Microwave antenna and accessory products, has released a new line of tri-band antenna solutions designed to cover several popular sub-bands across the L, S, and C Bands. These omni-directional antennas are tuned for high performance operation in the following frequencies: · 1.70 - 1.85 GHz · 2.2 - 2.5 GHz · 4.4 - 5.0 GHz For users who expect to utilize these bands or deploy multi-band radio systems, tri-band antennas can reduce the amount of kit required for deployment, helping to reduce carry weight, overall cost, and system complexity. These antennas are ideal for use with body-worn tactical radio systems, mobile robotics platforms and control systems, MIMO / MANET mesh radio systems, urban area mesh network deployments, broadcast video systems, and more. The new tri-band antennas are designed to withstand deployments in harsh operating environments around the world, with rugged construction and a matte black finish with black chrome RF connectors for low-visibility operations. Two antenna base options are available: 1. Ultra-Flex weatherproof sealed spring base, which allows the antenna to bend and flex upon impact and minimize risk of damage to mated RF connectors. 2. Integrated RF coaxial gooseneck, which can bend and hold the antenna in non-vertical positions. To improve antenna performance and operator usability, these antennas feature rugged cylindrical fiberglass radomes. The cylinder shape provides the antenna additional strength and eliminating issues where “paddle” shaped antennas can't lie flat. This mechanical design coupled with proprietary antenna tuning technique ensures excellent performance and antenna efficiency across the three bands. These new antennas are available in the following base and RF connector choices: Part # 1001-194: Tri-Band Omni Antenna, Half Wave Dipole, 1.7 - 1.85 GHz, 2.2 - 2.5 GHz, 4.4 - 5.0 GHz, 2.7 dBi Peak Gain, Ultra-Flex Sealed Spring Base, TNC(m) RF Connector Part # 1001-198: Tri-Band Omni Antenna, Half Wave Dipole, 1.7 - 1.85 GHz, 2.2 - 2.5 GHz, 4.4 - 5.0 GHz, 2.7 dBi Peak Gain, Ultra-Flex Sealed Spring Base, SMA(m) RF Connector Part # 1001-181: Tri-Band Omni Antenna, Half Wave Dipole, 1.7 - 1.85 GHz, 2.2 - 2.5 GHz, 4.4 - 5.0 GHz, 2.7 dBi Peak Gain, Integrated RF Gooseneck, TNC(m) RF Connector Part # 1001-182: Tri-Band Omni Antenna, Half Wave Dipole, 1.7 - 1.85 GHz, 2.2 - 2.5 GHz, 4.4 - 5.0 GHz, 2.7 dBi Peak Gain, Integrated RF Gooseneck, SMA(m) RF Connector Park # 1001-183: Tri-Band Omni Antenna, Half Wave Dipole, 1.7 - 1.85 GHz, 2.2 - 2.5 GHz, 4.4 - 5.0 GHz, 2.7 dBi Peak Gain, Integrated RF Gooseneck, Type-N(m) RF Connector Other RF connector options are also available, including Type-N(m), TNC(m), and Reverse Polarity options.
