Facilitates communications and collaborations between European scientists and institutes working on optical long-baseline interferometry for astronomy.
The Interferometry Center of Excellence is chartered to ensure the development and maintenance of a leading edge capability in optical and near-infrared interferometry, imaging, and astrometric technology.
This newsletter is a forum for scientists, engineers, and students who share an interest in long baseline stellar interferometry. Here you will find links to projects devoted to stellar interferometry, news items, and resources for further research.
The goal of this association is the common scientific usage of interferometers covering the radio to infrared wavelength domain, building instrumentation for interferometry and supporting education of physicists and astrophysicists in that general field.
This publication was prepared by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology, under a contract with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
By Webster Cash, Center for Astrophysics and Space Astronomy.
