Job Description:

Seeking an experienced RF Designer to join a team developing advanced RF filter modules for the mobile communications market. The engineer will assist in analyzing product feasibility, developing specifications, planning product development schedules, executing the product development, presenting project status at internal reviews, and transferring products to production. The emphasis of the work will be design of high performance RF filters modules using internal Bulk Acoustic Wave (BAW) filter manufacturing platform. Much of the engineering activity will be filter circuit simulation/optimization, laminate/PCB design, and prototype characterization. The candidate must have solid computer skills, communications skills, and a record of delivering products to demanding schedules.

Job Requirements:

Education:

  • MS Degree and 3 years experience required, MSEE preferred.

Skills:

  • Hands on lab experience for prototype characterization and optimization.

  • Laminate/PCB Design.

Knowledge:

  • Filters/Duplexers/Diplexers.

  • RF circuit simulation.

  • Electromagnetic simulation.

  • VNA measurements

Tools:

  • Agilent ADS

  • Layout (Cadence)

Job Position: Sr. Production QA Engineer - DIRECT HIRE

Job Description:

In a team environment, is responsible for design, layout, and support of production processing of products in-house and at subcontracted production operations. Objectives include development of processes that support low, medium and high volume production with expected high levels of process quality. Works with both customers and suppliers to meet production quality, cost, and delivery demands. Creates and manages schedules for implementing production processing for new products. Develops associated Lean practices when planning and improving production process & flow. Implements ECOs into production lines as required. Develop and use process data to monitor and improve process outputs and first time yields. Drives producibility and quality into every aspect of the process. Develops tools/fixtures and other processing aids to manage production operations. Validates requirements, design, development, and the release of software to production work centers. Evaluates requirements for manufacturability, production ramp & rate, predicts process yields, reviews system designs, develops/modifies the production plan, creates test/inspection plans, provides technical oversight to these processes, and leads continuous improvement activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day planning, set-up, maintenance, and continuous improvement of production processing as described above.

  • Personal schedule flexibility for responding to urgent production needs as they arise.

  • Development and maintenance of production process information for forward-leverage future process planning use.

  • Reporting of activities as required on a regular frequency.

  • Interface with suppliers on a technical and process level as required to correct problems and improve overall product/process quality.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience and track record of results developing and supporting low, medium and high volume production lines.

  • Demonstrated production engineering support of subcontracted operations is preferred.

  • Working knowledge of Lean initiatives/6 sigma and implementation in a production environment is important.

  • Experience in developing sampling plans for test and inspection for purchased and manufactured products.

  • Experience with Quality improvement tools in a team setting.

  • MS Office tools and MS Project experience is a must. Ability to use MS Visio is a plus.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Highly self-disciplined, detail and results oriented.

  • Must have flexible schedule and willingness to monitor and support all assigned production processing with comprehensive and quick response solutions.

Education and Experience Required:

Minimum of Bachelor of Science Degree in engineering field such as electrical engineering or test engineering with a minimum of seven to ten (7 - 10) years relevant production engineering experience and a track record of results.

Demonstrated record of component, sub-assembly and systems test development and support from DC - 26.5 GHz is essential.

Other requirements:

This position may require the successful candidate to be able to obtain a security clearance, and therefore, US citizenship is essential. A small amount of travel (10%) may be required to visit and monitor supplier operations.

Job Position: Principal Software Engineer - DIRECT HIRE

Job Description:

Working from established requirements and high level design and using established processes, complete detailed engineering design and development work for individual software components (referred to as Configuration Item (CI)) or units.

  • Individually test the developed products to prove functionality. Cooperatively contribute as a team member or as a project lead. Primarily works with principal technical/management staff.

  • Perform complex design and development work largely at the Configuration Item (CI) level in accordance with company processes.

  • Document the CI development at each phase as appropriate.

  • Perform analysis, studies and trade-offs in support of CI design; distill information down to make recommendations based on this analysis.

  • Review and develop an understanding of CI level requirements to translate into a design.

  • Perform design to meet baseline requirements; partition functionality as required; provide performance assessments of design.

  • Implement and/or assign and monitor junior team members’ implementation of design.

  • Provide customer and internal level design reviews.

  • Test CI against baseline requirements to verify functionality, performance and stability.

  • Perform and/or lead integration, installation and on-site maintenance of the CI at the subsystem and system levels.

  • Work within the established cost and schedule for the related task.

  • Suggest areas for product or process improvement to management.

  • Mentor junior engineers. Candidate Requirements Summary of Qualifications Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of OO design concepts for real-time applications in large scale data capture, storage, and processing systems.

  • Programming with C++, C, and Java for Solaris and/or Linux systems.

  • General knowledge of database concepts, preferably with Oracle.

  • Ability to lead a small team (1-3 individuals).

Education and Experience Required:

BSCS, BSCE, or BSEE with 3 to 7 years experience or equivalent combined education and software design and development experience. Prior or current work in a DoD environment is preferable.

Other requirements:

This position requires a successful candidate to obtain a security clearance and, therefore, US Citizenship is essential. Occasional travel will be required (approximately 5% - 25%).

Senior RF IC Design Engineer Senior RF IC Design engineer with experience in the design of CMOS Tx and Rx signal chain circuit blocks such as LNAs, mixers, and VGA stages. Design experience with fractional-N synthesizers is a strong plus. Job Description:

The successful candidate will be a lead engineer in a team responsible for architecture definition and detailed circuit design of highly integrated and highly configurable RF blocks and their associated control circuitry for state of the art wireless transceivers. This position will involve regular interaction with systems engineers for the design of blocks that appropriately address transceiver system issues and tradeoffs. Additional tasks will include layout of critical circuit blocks and mentoring of junior engineers.

Experience:

Candidate should have 5 to 10 years relevant industry work experience as an RFIC designer with significant CMOS design experience. Broad ranging skill sets and interests are highly valued. Familiarity and experience with developing products for one or more of the following wireless standards is also valued: GSM, GPRS, EDGE, GPS, CDMA2000, IS-95, 1xRTT, EV-DO, W-CDMA (UMTS), GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi or WiMax.
