Cobham Tracking & Locating Ltd, part of the Cobham Avionics and Surveillance Division, is a world leader in the development, design and manufacture of electronic tracking and locating equipment. We market our services and equipment under three well-known, respected brands: Orion, Seimac, and Micromill.
Based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada, we are currently seeking a Senior RF Product Designer who will be responsible for the design of new radio products.
Engineering Degree (or equivalent) with 10+ years of experience in the RF industry
Recent experience with PC board-level design of transmitters, receivers, and antenna systems at frequencies ranging from VHF to S band
Extensive experience with RF design simulation tools, including both linear and non-linear simulators
Ability to make system level design trade-offs
Experience with EMI / EMC design considerations
Experience with formal product certification and compliance testing
Extensive experience with RF lab test equipment including spectrum and network analyzers
Experience working in a commercial RF product design environment in support of medium volume manufacturing
A results oriented approach, with the ability to manage diverse objectives
Excellent English language verbal and written communication skills
Ability to lead by example and to provide opportunities for mentoring junior designers
