Where can I find a sharp RF/microwave tech in Arizona? Our client, Trillion (www.trillion.net), is a provider of fixed wireless and fiber WAN solutions for K-12. There is an immediate need for a tech in the Tucson market.
Trillion provides Priority One E-Rate eligible broadband network services for education. Our services simplify the complexities of data, voice and video convergence, and provide network security and protection. We have become the largest national service provider of fixed wireless and fiber wide area networks for K-12 school districts in the country, managing over 200,000 miles of networks and providing services to 1,500 schools coast to coast. We enable administrators, IT directors, teachers, and students to have a more robust and effective education experience.
Trillion is seeking a Network Field Engineer to conduct installation and maintenance services on the routing, switching and radio components of point-to-point wireless wide area networks. You will serve as field service agent, working with company engineers and our customers to conduct the initial configuration, installation and ongoing support of all site components. You will execute scripted test plans for the verification of deliverable systems and coordinate with the customer for their acceptance of the installation. You will also perform complex technical troubleshooting to isolate and resolve critical technical problems and take the steps to resolve them and return the system to operation.
Requirements:
5-7 years of experience in network field service, RF communications or a related field.
Expertise in Layer 2-3 network and security applications including routers, switches, firewalls and content filters.
Hands on experience with cabling, cross connects and other wiring components.
Knowledge of radios systems and UPS systems, including hardware and software.
Proficiency with field test equipment in a collaborative environment with our customers, our suppliers and our contractors.
Basic understanding of central offices, carrier circuit provisioning, CATV and fiber systems.
Experience with VoIP telephony systems and related QOS parameters desired. Pole climbing will be required.
75% travel required.
Good driving record a must.
