Radiotronix™ was founded in January of 2001 to take advantage of the advances made in integrating RF functionality in wireless ICs and the goal was set to create a new generation of highly-integrated IC-style RF modules that combined ease of use, enhanced performance and lowered customer cost. Our first wireless module was released in August of 2001 and won product of the year from Wireless Design and Development magazine.Since then, we have steadily grown our portfolio of embedded wireless modules and accessories. Today, we offer more than fifty products that make it simple and fast for any engineer to make any product wireless. Our products are value added and solve real problems through the innovative application of technological advances in radio design, embedded wireless protocol and application design, packaging, and manufacturing processes. Key markets include industrial automation, automated meter reading, asset tracking and management, law enforcement and emergency response management, home automation, and wireless sensor networks.
Position: RF Engineer

 Characteristics of this employee:

This person has to be hardworking, intelligent, enthusiastic, motivated, patient, a good communicator, and highly organized.  The ability to take complex tasks and break them down into manageable chunks is a must.

 Job Functions/Required Experience:

  • RF Design – must be able to work with an engineering team to design modular radio products and OEM radio solutions.  Applications are primarily battery powered, and are very power-conscious.  Experience with 433 MHz, 868 MHz, 900 MHz, and 2.4 GHz radio development is essential; knowledge of applicable FCC, ETSI, IC, and Anatel regulations are helpful.  Both discrete and IC-based design experience required.

  • RF Design Optimization – must be able to fine-tune matching circuits, troubleshoot performance problems, etc.

  • Antenna Design – must be able to design effective antennas for embedded systems.

  • Assist in customer product failure analysis – Very often, our customers will have design problems prohibiting them from reaching mass-production.  We will assist them by analyzing their product and either correcting or suggesting corrections to their designs.  A successful candidate will be able to analyze and evaluate a customer design and suggest changes to enhance the radio’s performance.

  • PCB design and schematic capture, Protel DXP experience preferred

  • Customer support – some direct interaction with customers will be required.

  • Experience with RF simulation software such as Genesys

  • Embedded programming in C, and Windows programming experience are pluses.

Education level:

Bachelors degree in electronics/engineering with 8 or more years industry experience or equivalent.
