PROFESSIONAL CONTRACT SERVICES (multiple market contracts)

 

AT&T, GSM/UMTS Design, North Texas (February 2008 to present)

  • Participated in the site scoping to support Goodman Networks of the GSM and UMTS network designs in North Texas Phase V network deployment. Design’s consisted of 488 UMTS sites using 1900 MHz and to produce design and implement 850 MHz UMTS second carrier to each site.
  • Provide cell site RFDS power amp configuration, combining, and consolidation using CCI, Power-wave, and Andrew external amplifiers.
  • Additional support was provided to the RF engineering department to produce site configurations and audits of the initial design for performance validation.

Rural Cellular, Springfield Massachusetts (February 2007 to August 2007)

  • Provided drop call and call access problems using “Business Objects” as the trending analysis platform. Utilized the Ericsson CNA and RNO for consistency checks, CNA\PMR\WinFoil used for analysis and site audits after GSM\UMTS integration.
  • Provided Integration RF Support for RFDS antenna selection, site power amp configuration, combining, and multiple site consolidation.
  • Post-process UMTS and GSM TEMS data using Actix to determine optimal site operation and functionality. Overlay drop call pinpoints with propagation analysis from UMTS design and GSM overlays.
  • Performed “GO-NOGO” HSPDA data testing using Agilent for cluster testing.
  • Identified and optimized cluster areas for invalid scan codes and dropped calls

Cingular Wireless, Optimization, Shreveport - New Orleans (Aug 2006 to Oct. 2006)

  • Perform post-integration tasks of the Nokia dual-band integration and run integration scripts using Winfoil: RSSI TRX testing, ABIS loop tests, and use of the Nokia Data Warehouse to pull and analyze the TRX Quality report for the network.
  • Perform Net Doctor analysis of the Nokia GSM network to provide optimization performance enhancement and to find network anomalies.
  • Recommend frequency changes, power changes (TMAX), optimize neighbor relations (PMRG), and provide Ericsson translating support for inter BCS handoff’s.
  • Troubleshoot existing GSM network and provide customer complaint analysis, provide pre-drive cluster analysis, and provided post-drive analysis of a DCR% less than 1.0% after cut-over.

Cingular Wireless, GSM/UMTS Design, North Texas (November 2005 to Aug. 2006)

  • Provided design support for the North Texas GSM Blue/Orange Decommissioning
  • Provided design support of the Phase 3 UMTS project
  • Provide cell site power amp configuration, combining, and consolidation using Powerwave and Andrew external amplifiers.
  • Provided Design support fir the DAS In-building systems with TDMA, GSM, UMTS combined network
  • Participated in the site scoping process of all the GSM and UMTS network designs in North Texas. Design’s consisted of 1400 GSM sites and 400 UMTS sites
  • Additional support was provided to the RF engineering department to produce site configurations and audits of the initial design for performance validation.
  • Provided cluster analysis using TEMS 6.03 for R99 and HSPDA tests
  • Post-processing of TEMS and Agilent data using MapInfo for presentation

  • Analysis of existing GSM Fiber Optic Distributed Antenna System “DAS”
  • Provide TEMS data collection and analysis of network performance
  • Provide GSM network optimization and system performance upgrade suggestions
  • Provide TEMS post-processing with overlay propagation analysis
  • Recommend RF changes and site optimization to improve DAS node placements

First Cellular, GSM Optimization, Southern Illinois (Aug 2005 to October 2005)

  • Provided drop call and call access problems using “Business Objects” as the trending analysis platform. Utilized the Ericsson CNA and RNO for consistency checks and analysis for GSM site audits after UMTS integration.
  • Performed audits of the GSM network to achieve an optimal configuration. Recommend and implemented site antenna conversions, site sectorizations, optimal RBS2000 configurations, MAIO configurations, capacity increases, frequency changes, hopping configurations, power settings, half-rate AMR, and optimized handoffs for the entire Southern Illinois network. Achieved a dropped call rate of less than 2.0% starting at 4.5%. 
  • Provide training and support to RF Engineering for the Ericsson OSS platform, Winfoil, MapInfo, TEMS Optimizer, Business Objects, Ericsson OSS, Network Adjacency Optimization (NOX), Frequency Optimization (FOX), and MML.

Rural Cellular Corporation, Optimization Engineer, Maine (Feb. 2005 to July 2005)

  • Provided drop call and call access problems using “Business Objects” as the trending analysis platform. Utilized the Ericsson CNA and RNO for consistency checks and analysis for GSM site audits after UMTS integration.
  • Utilize Ericsson’s OSS platform Rev10/Rev11 (CNA, RNO, SDM and PMR) to optimize UNICEL’s GSM network. Optimized and reconfigured all 1900 and 800 MHz new site integrations, band conversions, frequency changes, hopping configurations, and antenna configurations.
  • Recommend and implement site antenna conversions, site sectorizations, optimal RBS2000 configurations, MAIO configurations, capacity increases, frequency changes, and handoffs to other systems.
  • Provide training and support to RF Engineering for the Ericsson OSS platform, Winfoil, MapInfo, TEMS Optimizer, Business Objects, Ericsson OSS, Network Adjacency Optimization (NOX), Frequency Optimization (FOX), and MML.

Cingular Wireless, Optimization, Alabama and Mississippi (May 2004 to Oct. 2004)

  • Perform new site configuration and optimization of the Nokia GSM system in both Alabama and Mississippi markets simultaneously.
  • Utilize Nokia’s Network OSS platform to perform integration and optimization tasks.
  • Recommend frequency changes, power changes, optimize neighbor relations, and perform E911 call routing and verification.
  • Troubleshoot existing GSM network for seamless integration of 201 new sites added within the core network and additional rural sites.

Cingular Wireless, Performance Engineer, Birmingham, AL. (Jan. 2004 to May 2004)

  • Sectorization and Implementation of IS-136 systems in Alabama and Mississippi.
