I am an associate in Apind communications pvt ltd., from the past 6 months as an Sr. Engineer.

I worked in Astra Microwave Products pvt, ltd., (AMPL) in the period Jun 2006 to Jan 2008. Astra
is ISO 9001 certified company specialized in designing and manufacturing of RF/ Micro wave components
and subsystem up to 40 GHz required for microwave/ satellite communications, EW systems, RADAR I
have an 1 year 8 months of work experience as an Antenna and its subsystem design engineer. As a

Projects Summary:

Project# 1 Title: Design of Dual band cross polarized Base station antenna for cellular applications

Specifications: frequency 824-960 MHz, Return loss -13.8 dB, 18dBi gain, polarization ± 45°, side lobe
level 18 dB,power handling 400 W CW.

Base station antennas are used by the cellular operator at the cell tower to achieve
the signal coverage. To achieve gain at that frequency I used 8 cross polarized
dipoles. Corporate feed network is designed to feed all the radiating element with
amplitude coefficients derived from the tailor distribution to achieve 18 dB SLL.

Project#2 Title: Development of Slotted wave guide antenna array for radar tracking application

Specifications: frequency 3.2 to 3.4 Ghz Return loss -9.6 dB, side lobe level 25 dB both in the Azimuth and
Elevation plain, 26 dB gain.

Design is given by the LRDE (DRDO) Bangalore. My duty is to develop the design and test
it. If the reults doesn't match with the specifications I will check for the
remedy to solve that problem, if not possible consult the designer to modify the design.
At last the design is to be approved by the third party.

Project#3 Title: Design and development of the C band Omini for air borne application.

Specifications: frequency 5.2 to 5.4 Ghz Return loss -9.6 dB, Gain 1.5dB, Omini variation ± 1.5 dB, light
weight (mechanical specification).

Project # 4 (Project done at college level)
Title: Implementation of error correcting codes trough Turbo codes using matlab.

Turbo codes are the error correcting codes. Each bit in the data is sent with an
corresponding 2 bits of codes to achieve the data recovery from the noisy channel.
This Turbo code algorithm is implemented in the matlab and noisy channel is created
by adding some noise to the original message and the data is recovery from the noisy
channel by using decoding algorithm designed in the matlab 6.1 environment.

Designing the Antennas and subsystem according to the specifications provided by the customer
by using HFSS, IE3D, and PCAAD3 tools.

Material planning and procurement for the development.

Developing the prototype according to the plane.

Testing the prototype antenna using vector network analyzer(VSWR) and far field pattern
(Radiation pattern)

Debugging the problems in the design.

Maintaining records according to the ISO 9001 certification standards.

Preparing the production document for the antenna and subsystem and submitted to the production
department.

Programming Wifi radio according to the requirement in various modes (bridge, routers ..)

In various operating setup (Access point, client, WDS ....)using NMS or web browser.

Site survey antenna orientation for best coverage.

Tools: - HFSS, IE3D, PCAAD3, RADIO Mobile (free ware).
(Agilent ADS, FEKO Basic level)
