Quality Assurance
Responsible as part of a team to review photos of onsite activity and communicate to field personnel when customer requirements and expectations are not met. Solely responsible for Quality Assurance program for Hughesnet Direcway VSAT platforms. These responsibilities include the review of photos showing onsite activities, daily communication with the customer and upload of all photos to a web based customer portal.
RF Technical Support Technician
Provide around the clock Level III technical support to field personnel installing and maintaining customer communication systems. These customers include GE Spacenet ,IDirect ,VIASAT, Tachyon, Hughes Network Systems, Ground Control mobile VSAT systems, Spotwave Cellular, Agency France Press, Alden Electronics, Echosat, GTE, Global Atmospherics and TargetVision. The aforementioned systems include RX only & two-way VSAT systems, RF Distribution, and satellite fed cat5 networks. Other responsibilities include the install and bench test of new customer system equipment in a laboratory environment. Training of in-house personnel on customer platforms and processes. Responsible to provide after-hours and Holiday technical support to field personnel for the past 8 years.
RF System Installation and Service Trainer
Train field personnel to install, service and maintain remote sites utilizing all of Hughes Network Systems two-way and rx only equipment; including the Personal Earth Station and Brighton IP relays. USSI successfully installed 50,000 VSAT systems for HNS in the first 36mos of the installation contract.
Certified by Hughes Network Systems to train field technicians for nationwide coverage to install and maintain the new commercial DiRECWAY suite of electronics including the DW4010, DW4020, DW4030, DW6000, DW7000 and the new suite of DVB VSAT platforms the HN7700s.
Train field personnel in service and maintenance of GE Spacenets “Skystar Advantage” , Gilat 360 VSAT and the new Skyedge platforms.
Train all Field personnel to install, service, and maintain remote sites utilizing all of Hughes Network Systems Two-way and RX only equipment including Personal Earth Station, and Brighton IP relays.
Project Coordinator
Coordinate installation of large scale RF distribution networks at factory sites nationwide. Responsibilities included processing site survey results and generating cost summaries for installation. Ordering and purchasing materials for said project completion. Supplying field personnel with necessary information, and materials to complete customer requested tasks. Responsible for tracking expenditures and controlling profit margins.
