*Site License allows an unlimited number of users at one (1)
location. Users must be officially affiliated with the site during the time of use.
That means the license does not follow a user who permanently leaves the site (graduation,
new employment, etc.). The license extends to persons whose primary job is normally

Hobbyists employed at the same location are welcome and encouraged to use the software.
The single location restriction is imposed to limit distribution to local use for
companies with multiple physical locations. This software may not be redistributed

Recommended Usage
I recommend that you begin by using one of the included Page Template ".vsdx"
files for developing your diagram since they are scaled for a good presentation.
Some basic information is on the "Hints & Tips" page to help you get started.
I also recommend creating a new folder titled "RF Electronics Symbols" inside
the default "My Shapes" Visio stencils folder and then unzipping the files into
it. For versions of Windows through Win10, the path typically looks like this:
C:\Documents and Settings\<your ID name>\My Documents\My Shapes\<RF
Electronics Symbols>\
Please note that unlike previous versions, these are NOT
"Stencils" and will not appear in the Stencils list.

Disclaimer: RF & Electronics Symbols for Visio is offered AS IS. Your use

its use, and will hold harmless Kirt Blattenberger, RF Cafe, and all associates
for any losses incurred through its use. This product has been tested very thoroughly,
and there are no known problems at the time of this release.
Known Issues:
(all due to Visio settings that can be easily changed)
- Security warning?
In Visio 2013 and newer, you might need
to change the "File Block Settings" that have been added for security purposes.
Please see the Microsoft support page for detailed instructions on
File Block Settings
(it's easy to do).
- If you have a set of custom colors (aka 'Color Themes') selected in Visio, it
will probably be necessary to turn that feature off in order for the stencils to
appear properly.
This new set of more than 1,0000 uniquely designed RF and Electronics Symbols
were built in Visio 2019 and use the XML file format, which eliminates the
security setting change in Visio 2013 and newer versions.
Based on feedback from prior versions, all objects are provided in a single ".vsdx"
file* with categorized pages, rather than using separate Stencil files. This makes
locating the symbols you want much easier since you see the actual shapes rather
than an ambiguous set of thumbnail images. No special skills are required, and newcomers
to Visio will find the presentation very encouraging.
Again, these are NOT Stencil files like previous versions were.
*The Page Templates and Smith Chart™ are in separate
files.
Every object has been built from scratch to fit proportionally on the provided
A-, B- and C-size drawing page templates - or you can use your own page if preferred.
Components are provided for equipment racks and test equipment, system block diagrams
and conceptual drawings, and for schematics.
NOTES: Visio versions prior to 2013 (e.g.,
2010 and earlier) do not support this new XML file format. If you need the old ".vsd"
file style or want the original RF Stencils for Visio v3.1 file, please go
here
for instructions.
If you bought RF Stencils for Visio v3.1 on or after August
1, 2019 (the date I began work on new version) and
would like a supplementary file with most of the new shapes, please send me an e−mail
with proof of purchase.
All of the included shapes / objects / symbols (terms used interchangeably) can
be seen in the screen captures below. They are what you see when you open the file
and select a tab at the bottom - everything right where you can see it. Click on
these thumbnails for detailed views.
