Yeah, Conexant bought the 802.11 technology from Intersil in Sept of 2002. I
don't know if their PRISM stuff is actively pursued/supported. It sounds like the agreement
was to integrate the technology into DSL modems but Intersil doesn't seem to have any
reference to the PRISM chipsets except to refer you to
www.conexant.comIntersil
bought Harris Semiconductor in 1999 which of course, also included what was left of
GE Solid State and RCA. At this rate, Conexant should be ready to sell it to
Lenovo sometime this year.
