WLAN - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

Below are the old forum threads, including responses to the original posts.

Yeah, Conexant bought the 802.11 technology from Intersil in Sept of 2002. I don't know if their PRISM stuff is actively pursued/supported. It sounds like the agreement was to integrate the technology into DSL modems but Intersil doesn't seem to have any reference to the PRISM chipsets except to refer you to www.conexant.com

Intersil bought Harris Semiconductor in 1999 which of course, also included what was left of GE Solid State and RCA.

At this rate, Conexant should be ready to sell it to Lenovo sometime this year.
