Looking for help with HFSS9 - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

Below are the old forum threads, including responses to the original posts.

I am using HFSS to design a microstrip antenna. I have not too much experience with simulation program and I have problems with the definition of the ports. I am not sure which kind of ports are more suitable for my design because I need to look for at least 5 of the propagation modes and for example with a "lumped port" I can look only at one of them. :(

Have somebody of you experience in the definition of ports in microstrip structures and can give me a piece of advice to undestand how they work with HFSS?

Thank you very much :)

Jander
