Hi all,
I am simulating a 60GHz straight
F-form antenna by Ansoft HFSS. I use the low-loss
Rogers material(loss tangent is 0.0021) as the board
material. This F-form antenna resonates around 61GHz(S11)
. However, when I tried to get information on radiation
efficiency, it turns out that the radiation efficiency
is greater than "1". I don't know what's wrong with
my modeling and how to improve it. Could anyone
give me some advices? Thank you very much! Welcome
to contact me via: hopefully81(at)gmail.com
Kevin

Dear sageme,
Check your radiation box size,
it should larger and enclosing your structure. Check
the operating frequency, in your case, it should
be at least 60GHz. Could you please send a figure
for your structure model on HFSS?
Best

Hi imodelit_moderator,
My radiation box
is at least quarter-wavelength away from the radiating
structure. The solution frequency is set to 61GHz,
while the frequency sweep range is from 50GHz to
75GHz. From the S11, this F antenna really resonates
around 61GHz. By the way, I don't know how to post
a figure here....
Thank you very much!
