Greetings all,
I'm kinda new in this area,
and was given a task to intergrate the RF front-end
digital Beamformer circuit. my question is how do
i do that, what are the paramters that i should
take consider of? does the word intergrate means
i have to convert the signal in frequency domain
into time domain? is there any book reference that
i can refer to regarding beamforming network? I
just need to know how to start with this project?
Many thanks.
cheers

Beamforming is usually done with an Array or antennas
sperated by Quater wavelength and applying amplitude
and phase shifts to the signal so that the directivity
of the array can be rotated. You can do complex
multiplications in digital domain to achieve this.

Greetings Elfa: I just picked up the August
2004 edition of Microwave Journal and see there
is a major feature article on beam-forming antennas
that you might be interested in reading.
Here's a link to the article, but you might need
to sign in to access it:

Basically try reading up on Adaptive beamforming
networks since u need smart arrays and a digital
beamforming network.
