Any one who knows lock time of GPRS class12? - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

Below are the old forum threads, including responses to the original posts.

As far as I know between the receive and transmit time slots, one time slot minus the maximum TA is the minimum amount of time left for the RF parameter setting and for the synthesizer lock-up.
The maximum TA value is 63 symbol periods, or 232.615 µs, so this represents 576.923 - 232.615 = 344.308 µs.

But when we talking about lock time of this, it should be locked within 180 µs not 344.308 µs. :?:
Is there anyone who can explain this?
