Please help me to find my need mixer IC type - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

Hello songbo,

Here is an example for an IC mixer from Hittite Microwave:

http://www.hittite.com/product_info/pro ... 220ms8.pdf

Hittite Microwave has more examples of Mixers, take a look at their website: www.hittite.com

Good Luck!

Thank you very much for your enthusiastic reply. But Hittite HMC220MS8 is not satietied with our design. Because we convert RF 5.8GHz to IF 3.5GHz. So LO frequency shall be 2.3GHz. But Hittite HMC220MS8 LO&RF are 5GHz above. Hope you can help we to find other mixer IC or advise. Thank you very much again!

If I were you, which I am, I would make a simple single ended mixer. Just create the bandpass filters and diplexers and tht's it.

You will be completly satietied.

Unless size and performance is an issue.

Keep in mind you can apply the LO to the IF port for most double balanced mixers. In fact, you can interchange any port as long it's within the specified frequency response. There will also be trade-offs in performance...loss, isolation, linearity etc.

If you'd like I can design a mixer for you. I'm quite the mixer guy, I even have a few mixer patents. the women are very impressed.
