diode rectif ads sim? - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

Below are the old forum threads, including responses to the original posts.

Post subject: diode rectif ads sim? Posted: Wed Jul 20, 2005 10:16 am
Hi
I want to simulate my rectifier in ADS for different frequencies (0.1-3GHz) at different input powers (-20dBm to +20dBm) and be able to receive the 1-port s-parameters and later construct an optimized match.

How to perform 1-port s-parameter simulation for diode in ADS at different freq and power levels (-20dbM to +20dBm)?

Which Agilent diode model should I use? Is it correct to use the diode model from the component library (HSMS-xxx) for have an "real" diode with included parasitics, package etc for the power and freq range mentioned above including both linear nonlinear range?

Hopeful for constructive details and answers
