Caveat Lector - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

I was reading a review on the NEC e616 phone this morning on a supposedly reputable website. Here is an excerpt from one of their columnists:

"It is also compatible with any UMTS system on those frequencies - UMTS is the direct connection of a mobile handset to a satellite, one of the bases of 3G mobile technology."
