Important Information - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

Below are the old forum threads, including responses to the original posts.

-- Amateur Radio
-- Anecdotes, Gripes & Humor
-- Antennas
-- CAE, CAD, & Software
-- Circuits & Components
-- Employment & Interviews
-- Miscellany
-- Swap Shop
-- Systems
-- Test & Measurement

Greetings:

These polls are not considered scientific because no attempt is made to control voting.

Registration is not required, since even the same user can theoretically register under multiple names and skew results. The database does try to keep track of voting to prevent multiple entries from a single user. Just emptying your cookie cache does not let you vote again on the same poll.

Participation in the polls is pretty low when sign-in is forced, because it seems most people do not want to go to the trouble of registering, and that's OK. Think of these polls as more of a "finger in the wind" to see which way it's blowing.

An archive of the past RF Cafe Polls can be found here:

Thanks for your participation, and be sure to tell you friends to vote.
