impedance matching methods for 50 to 75 ohm line @ 2.4ghz - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

Below are the old forum threads, including responses to the original posts.

I would like to use RG6 quadfoil (75 ohm cable) for short runs (~100 ft) to a (50 ohm) roof top circular waveguide antenna for wlan links. Impedance matching one type of transmission line to another using a stub transformer section should be easy. Anyone have an on line source for formulas etc. to build one?
