Cross Correlation / Antenna Diversity Measurement - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

Below are the old forum threads, including responses to the original posts.

Hi

Has anyone performed cross correlation / diversity measurement in an anechoic chamber before? If so, please can someone help me.

I want to measure the correlation between 2 WWAN and 2 WLAN antennas which i have currently designed in a mobile device. I know the basic theory behind it, however, for the actual testing, I have not done this before. I have heard from a colleague that you can extract the horizontal polarization data from the 3D data of the results and use some formula to obtain the correlation coefficients. However, the equation to use seems to be a mystery.

Your suggestions would be much appreciated.
