Hey all, Besides voice quality and data reliability,
what other issues are involved when testing satellite
phone and satellite services? I know that battery
life plays a big part in this, but I'm curious about
the actual functionality. Thanks!

Hello, When you are testing a satellite phone,
you need to first examine the requirements. Then,
you need to see whether the requirements are being
met by a give sat phone provider. Most of these
providers use proprietary hardware. Also, see whether
they support any standards. Some of the important
points to check in a satellite phone are:
Coverage area
Voice Service
Data Service
Maximum available data rate
Mobile Internet
Access
Interoperability with other Cell Phone
or Satellite Phones
Not all satellite phone providers cover all the
