Can you enable post editing? I always forget to
add something, not to mention typos.

Greetings madengr:
My reason for not allowing editing was to
prevent someone from making a claim and then going
back at some later point and changing it without
alerting other to the nature of the change. It is
not fair to visitors when someone posts a controversial
remark and then goes back an changes it when proven
wrong as if he/she never made the claim.
It is a pain to honest users, however, to not
be able to clean up a post for grammar errors or
mistaken content. As usual, it is the actions of
a few scoundrels that screw things up for the everybody
else. I am willing to give it a try, but will monitor
the forums to make sure the privilege is not being
abused.
Editing is now permitted for all
but the Swap Shop, the Webmaster, and the T-Shirt
Contest forums. The Swap Shop is kept as uneditable
because with the exchange of money or bartering
being involved, I want to make certain that descriptions
and claims do not change “ex post facto.”
Thanks for writing.

Thanks. I know some forums allow the post to be
edited until
another post is added. That would probably be the
best way to do it.
