Sorry for the downtime - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

Below are the old forum threads, including responses to the original posts.

-- Amateur Radio
-- Anecdotes, Gripes & Humor
-- Antennas
-- CAE, CAD, & Software
-- Circuits & Components
-- Employment & Interviews
-- Miscellany
-- Swap Shop
-- Systems
-- Test & Measurement
-- Webmaster

I have been making some modifications to RF Cafe to make it independent of all the MS FrontPage Extensions. Doing so eliminates a lot of potential headaches.

During the "experimentation" time, the forum was not accessible, but all the data has been preserved, so postings are the same as before.

The hit counter and a few other things (including the forum) are now run under PHP, which is nice because a lot of routines are developed and supported by the OpenSource community (mostly unemployed hackers, I believe).

Only registered users can vote in the poll. Once you have voted, the program will not permit you to vote again in the same poll (not that anyone would try to rig the poll)
