RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling
2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed
formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit
design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at
the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps
while typing up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got
Mail" when a new message arrived...

AOptix Technologies is growing as we continue to lead the world in creating breakthrough products for
Wireless Optical Communications and Identity Solutions.
The pervasive use of smart mobile devices has driven explosive growth in the demand for bandwidth. Conventional
transport alternatives cannot handle the staggering amount of data traffic that continues to surge. AOptix provides
revolutionary wireless communications technology that offers dramatic breakthroughs in bandwidth, distance, availability
and total cost of ownership. Our newest strategic partner, Anova Technologies, is the preeminent fiber and wireless
exchange connectivity provider, exclusively focused on electronic and algorithmic trading clients. Together we are
bringing to the market ultra-low latency wireless communications networks specifically for the financial industry.
AOptix is interested in hiring an RF Architect to work on our communications products. This would be someone
who has worked on the subsystems of wireless radios. This is an E-band front end with a baseband radio.
Environment at AOptix? Work hard, play hard. Coed Baseball, BBQ's, Holiday parties, Annual Summer Picnic, Free daily
fresh fruit café and drinks, open-door to management policy, excellent benefits, team environment full of people
willing to help with anything, and a prevailing sense of humor.
